                     team all american in 2014 and 2015.</note>

                     a total of 35 points. As a midfielder, Belenger also found 25 ground balls, 35

                  <note> Senior attacker Ashley Travis finished off the season with 23 goals. Travis

            <placeName ref="#Garden_City">GARDEN CITY, N.Y.</placeName>- Anchored by 14 saves from
               <persName ref="Alyssa_Gianotti">Alyssa Gianotti</persName>
            <placeName ref="#Monlton_Hereford"/>(Monkton, Md./Hereford) and a defense that held the
            nation`s top offense to five goals, the nationally-ranked No. 8 University of New Haven
            women`s lacrosse team defeated <note> They use the word defeated to show the dominance
               in the win. The Chargers went 7-1 in goals in the second half. </note> No. 1 Adelphi
            10-5 Wednesday afternoon in a Northeast-10 Confrence showdown and one of the biggest
            wins in program history. The upset snapped a 36-game winning streak by the Panthers who
            had not been defeated since May 18, 2013. </p>
         <p> With the win, New Haven improves to 13-2 overall and 10-2 in the Northeast-10
            Confrence. Adelphi drops to 14-1 overall and 11-1 in conference play. With other results,
            the Chargers move into sole possession of third place in the conference standings with
            one game left in the regular season. </p>
         <p> The win was the <persName ref="Chargers">Chargers`</persName> first-ever <note> The
               words "First-ever" shows how important and exciting this win is for the
               chargers.</note> over the nation`s top ranked team <note> The write up continues to
               state how the Adelphi Panthers are nationally ranked to show how big of an upset this
               was.</note> and first in 20 attempts against the Panthers. Entering the game, UNH had
            suffered <note> Using such a dramatic word like "suffered" shows how tiresome playing and
               loosing to Adelphi was. The loses actaully started to make the Chargers feel like
               they were suffering. Especially because Adelphi is known for beating teams by a
               signifigant amount of goals. </note> 19-straight losses to Adelphi. Averaging over 17
            goals per game prior to Wednesday`s contest, the Panthers were held to fewest goals
            scored since scoring just four against then- C.W. Post in the national semi-final on May
            15, 2008. The last time the Panthers were held to five-or-fewer goals in a regular
            season contest was April 3, 2005 against Stonehill. The chargers were also the first
            visiting team to win in Garden City since April 28, 2012. </p>
         <p> Gianotti finished with a career-high 14 saves with a just five goals against.
            Offensivley, <persName ref="#Kathyrn_Campbell"> Kathyrn Campbell</persName>
            <placeName ref="#Mainsfield_Mass"> (Mansfield, Mass./ Mansfield)</placeName> led the
            team with five total points off three goals and two assists. <persName
               ref="#Caitlin_OBrien"> Caitlin O`Brien</persName>
            <placeName ref="#Branford_CT">(Branford, Conn./ Branford) </placeName> and three goals,
            while <persName ref="Nicole_Belenger"> Nicole Belenger</persName> (Kinnelon, N.J./
            Kinnelon) and <persName ref="#Ashley_Travis"> Ashley Travis </persName>
            <placeName ref="#LaFayette_NY"> (LaFayette, N.Y./Lafayette)</placeName> each tallied two
            scores. <persName ref="#Corinne_Fisher"> Corrine Fisher</persName>
            <placeName ref="#Jackson_NJ">(Jackson, N.J./ Jackson Memorial)</placeName> dished out
            two assists and <persName ref="#Maya_Syzmanksi"> Maya Szymanski</persName>
            <placeName ref="#Framingham_Mass">(Framingham, Mass./Framingham)</placeName> rounded out
            scoring with an assist. <note> In the Chargers write up, there is no mention of any
               Adelphi players.</note>
         </p>
         <p> The chargers fell behind 3-0 in the first seven minutes Wednesday afternoon. <note>
               Acknowlegement of when they are loosing</note> The 3-0 run to open the contest was
            split in two by a 45- minute lightning delay. <note> In most instances, weather delays
               during a game is seen as a bad thing because it kills the momentum of the game. In
               the eyes of the Chargers, it was a huge advantage. The girls were able to see where
               the Adelphi Panthers were weak and where the Chargers could improve their game.
               Suppoesdly, the locker room enviornment during this lightning delay was eletric.
            </note> O`Brien opened scoring for the Blue and Gold at the 23:07 mark. A 10-minute
            strech was scoreless before the Panthers pulled ahead 4-1 with 11:14 on the clock.
            Travis and Campbell scored in the final 11 minutes for the Chargers who narrowed the
            lead to the 4-3 at halftime. </p>
         <p> Just 2:19 into the second half, Fisher found O`Brien for her second of the afternoon to
            even the game at 4-4. Over the next 13 minutes, the chargers put the game away with
            another four unanswered goals to take an 8-4 lead with 15:21 remaining. Adelphi added
            one at the 14:36 mark to break the UNH streak. Campbell added two more in the final four
            minutes to secure the UNH victory. </p>
         <p> The chargers, currently third in the Northeast-10 Conference standings, will conclude
            there regular season on saturday, April 25th at Franklin Pierce. Opening draw is set for
            2 p.m. in Rindge, N.H. UNH has also clinched one of the top four seeds <note> The write
               up states that UNH has stolen the 4 seed because that is an accomlishment because it
               allows them to have a home playoff game.</note> in the upcoming Northeast-10
            Confrence Championship and will host the opening round on Wednesday, April 29. </p>
